  9. Ms. Marti was a mother to all us kids in Stone Mountain. I have so many fond memories of her being a “cheer mom” and just taking us anywhere we wanted to go in her big station wagon. She had a huge heart and we all knew she loved us. She was special and I can’t think of another mother who was so close to her children and their friends. She’s the only mom who ever came to our high school reunions! That’s how unique she was. What a beautiful life. Hugs and prayers to Laurie and Elena. I know your hearts are hurting, but you were blessed to have her as your mom.

  10. Oh, I hate so much to lose my dear friend, Marti. We didn’t see each other often, but when we did, it was if we hadn’t even been apart. I am glad she won’t be suffering any more , but I sure wish she could have been with all of us longer. Dick and I will always remember this lovely lady.

  11. Miss. Marti will always hold a special place in both mine and Phil’s heart. She was a kind, beautiful person and I know she will be missed by many.

  12. Marti was like a mother to us on the gymnastics team – she was such a faithful supporter of both the boy’s and girl’s teams. I always felt so comfortable and always welcomed us into her home. She was such a wonderful person and we all loved her like our mom. We will miss her greatly !

  13. Such a truly special woman with the kindest heart and so much love for her family! I enjoyed having her at our tennis matches and know she lived an incredible life filled with family and friends. She will be missed by all. Prayers, love and support for the family!

  14. Elena I’m so very sorry for your loss. Marti was always a little special to me. She treated me like a part of the family, but then again she probably treated everyone that way. What a treat to have known her. All my best.

  15. When losing someone we love it’s hard to carry on without them but act 25:15 helps us to appreciate that there will be a ressurection and soon we will be reunited with our loved ones again my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

  16. Marti always had a smile when you passed her in the hallway at Dekalb Medical. Laurie was part of our family with
Dr. Katz and we are all praying for the girls and the extended family.

  17. Marti was my second Mom in high school and college. She was always so fun to be with and loved all her children’s friends as though they were her own. So glad I got to see her last year, in spite of her illness she was just as beautiful as I remembered her. Prayers and hugs for Elena, Laurie and all the family.

  18. I worked with Marty at DeKalb Medical and she was the sweetest person I’d ever met. Trusting, fair and open-minded. She was very lively, independent and a go getter. Although she was quite older than I, (30 years), she ran circles around me when we’d climb Stone Mountain together. I love Marty and she will always be remembered. Rest in peace, my friend. My condolences to the family!

  19. I worked with Marti many years at Dekalb
