Maurice "Skip" Flake Jr.

Maurice “Skip” Flake Jr. age 79 of Stone Mountain, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.Born in Davenport, Iowa on Friday May 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Maurice Leo Flake Sr. and Bernice Corken Flake. Maurice was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain for many years, earlier in life he was an Automobile Leasing Manager for GENWAY Company.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years of marriage, Marikay DePorter Flake of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Children: Michelle (Jimmy) Morgan of Carrollton, Georgia, Steven ( Lisa) Flake and Michael ( Lori) Flake of Jackson,Georgia, Sister: Charlotte (Gary) Johnson of Galena Illinois. He also leaves to cherish Eight grandchildren.

A Memorial Catholic Mass will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 14, 2021 from the Corpus Christi Catholic Church 600 Mountain View Drive Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083, with Father Paschal Amagba serving as Celebrant.

An Inurnment service will follow at 3 PM from the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery 210 Center Point Rd. Carrollton, Georgia 30117.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that donations be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Capitol Campaign Fund: 600 Mountain View Drive Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083.
