Michael Daniel Farrin, III., 55, was so many things to so many people. Son, brother, husband, father, friend, and Papa Mike.
Mike was born December 7, 1968 in Athens, GA, to Michael and Gwen Farrin Jr., of Vesta, GA. He was an avid outdoorsman; a lover of fishing, boating, and hunting. As a proficient gunsman and an engineer by trade, Mike prioritized safety above all else, and held himself to a rigorous standard of excellence, bar none.
Mike was a man of faith and family: provider, protector, and leader. He cultivated a household rich in close family bonds, supported by his wife, Rebecca, who dedicated herself to homeschooling their children. Together, Mike and Rebecca raised their four kids the right way, and Mike was very proud of the young men and women into whom they have grown.
Lovingly nicknamed “Mr. Worldwide,” Mike Farrin was larger than life, and the life of the party. Employing his signature sardonic wit, meticulous attention to detail, and unassuming wisdom, Mike was a naturally gifted storyteller, who could repeat the same tale ten times and you’d never get bored. He and Rebecca loved to travel, imbibe in local food, and soak up vibrant cultures. He never met a stranger.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his loving wife of 29 years, Rebecca; four children, Daniel Farrin (Kat) of Los Angeles, CA, Nik Farrin (Tiffany) of Elberton, Ga; Miah (Srdjan) Veselinovic of Smyrna, GA; Eden Farrin (Per) of Marietta; GA. Sisters, Michele (Chris) Autry, Monroe GA and Marsha (Lasserre) Bradley, Cincinnati, OH.
He took great pride as ‘Great’ Uncle Mike to many nieces and nephews.
“Papa Mike” to Sebastian, Jasper, Nikolai, and eagerly anticipating the arrival of their twin bothers Sawyer Michael Farrin and Archer Daniel Farrin.

It has been our pleasure to work with Mike and to get to know you, Rebecca, at our sales meeting and other events. We are all deeply saddened at this time. I liked Mike and he quickly made himself a part of our Desoutter Tool team. Combined with his knowledge, he had an upbeat, calm, and engaging style about him that made him successful in this business and just a good person to be working with. We miss him and will continue to do so. Please know that our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Mike you are great friend and wonderful business associate, will miss you and think of you as I progress in my life’s journey. Life is short, precious and especially a gift. I will eventually see you on the other side as I have too lost love ones.

I’ll never forget Mike’s kindness and fellowship and friendship – And his ever present contagious smile. So thankful to have Known him.
We are so very sorry for the sudden loss of such a dear young husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle, and friend. We are praying for God’s peace and comfort for Becky and the family. Mike was amazing and had many talents, but most of all, my family and I all agreed that he was such a genuine and sincere man who loved the Lord and his family well.
Rebecca, thank you and Mike for inviting us into your lives. These last couple years have opened up for myself and Claudine. Mike will be missed but never forgotten.
