Miranda Durant

miranda durant

June 28, 1953 ~ June 18, 2023

Born in: Bronx, New York
Resided in: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Miranda Durant survived by her Son, Sha-King Durant-Harvey, her daughter-in-law Camille Durant-Harvey, her two grandchildren Kamoni, and Kamille affectionately known as “Baby”. And Charise Reid, who was like a second daughter to her.

Miranda was a devout Christian. As an Usher at her home church, Trinity Baptist in the Bronx, she was truly as she would say, “a door-keeper for the Lord.” Her belief in Christ, love for Jesus, and family made her the loving, Mother, Grandmother, and sister in Christ that her family, friends, and church were so blessed to have as a part of their everyday lives. As a track star in her younger years, she was still very athletic, and loved to spend her days with her grand babies, teaching them, track and field events, swimming, tennis, bike riding, going on walks, and having picnics. If you saw her, you saw them. She was the heart of her family, a major part of her son’s life, her grandchildren, and all her loved ones. She will truly be missed, forever loved, and will never be forgotten.
