Sue Lunsford Moon live a life filled with family and love. Her parents, Andrew and Lucille Lunsford, welcomed her to the world on July 30, 1938 in Stone Mountain, Georgia where she called home all of her 73 years. She is remembered and will always be missed by her loving husband, Joe Moon, along with her children, Greg Moon and Tracey Glover, her daughter-in-law Lynda Moon, her grandchildren, Olivia Nelson, Casey Bowie, and Mitchell Moon, and her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elijah, and Emerson. A loving, giving, and irreplaceable matriarch, Sue's devotion to her family has left a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.
Sue graduated from Stone Mountain High School, and she spent time as an active member of the Stone Mountain First Baptist Church and the Stone Mountain Women's Club . After dedicating 30 years of service with BellSouth, Sue retired in 1987. Cancer claimed her life on April 6, 2012, but it did not define her life. She maintained her spirit throughout her battle; until the very end.
A visitation will be held at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Stone Mountain, Georgia from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held to honor Sue's life in the chapel at Wages and Sons at 2:00 pm.
