Nola McCrary lived a very full life where family and animals were her passion.  She and her late husband Charles McCrary were married thirty-three years before Chuck’s passing in 2020, they were residential home builders and enjoyed traveling when their health was good.

Nola loved the farm life where she raised horses and dogs, she loved gardening and quilting and played the piano over her lifetime. Nola who is originally from Atlanta, GA, has lived throughout the state of Georgia, Florida and fourteen years in Montana. Nola had owned and operated the Swanson Lodge, a bed and breakfast that was a historic lodge that she completely renovated when they purchased, where she also learned how to fly fish, cross country ski and truly loved and enjoyed entertaining friends and family while showing them “God’s country”. She shared her father Nolan’s passion for fishing and her best day was being on the river. Montana is where she lived out some of her happiest years and experiences.

Nola fought a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease over the course of ten years and had wonderful support and care throughout the process. Nola was an extremely loving, kind, patient and giving spirit and woman. Everyone loved Nola, who was full of life.  She was genuine, down to earth and was loyal to her friends and family. Nola will be truly missed and remembered always by all those that knew and loved her.
