Norma Elizabeth Smith, age 96, passed away on December 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Smith; son-in-law, Frank J. Hildebrand; granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Ivie and Joyce D. Heard. Survived by her 3 children, daughter, Patricia H. Ivie and husband, Arvel Ivie; daughter, Carol A. Hildebrand; son, John G. Hutchins and wife, Mary E. Hutchins.; grandchildren, Mike Ivie, Renee Mauldin and husband, Robyn Mauldin, Cheryl Dean and husband, Jack Dean, Chris J. Hildebrand and wife, Ashley H. Hildebrand, John A Hutchins and wife, Lisha Hutchins; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren. This is her loving family who will miss her every day. Heaven is truly blessed. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA, 770-277-4550. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. with Dr. Don Richards officiating at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. We are so sorry for the loss of your mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
In the mid 1960 s we made a trip with my grandparents Nick W George) to MO, wife and dughaer-in-laws(s) I seem to recall were all killed in an auto accident. I will have to reach out to cousins (living in England, AR) to see if this was in the same family, William George was also on our family tree.
