Mary Rotondo O'Brien Norwood, formerly of Poughkeepsie, New York, passed away on October 1, 2012 in Lilburn, Georgia at the age of 90. Mary retired as an RN from the Hudson River State Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia in 1993.
Mary is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John and Dione O'Brien of Lawrenceville, Georgia; son, George O'Brien of Pleasant Valley, New York; grandchildren, Kellie Richardson, Scott Richardson of Lawrenceville, Georgia; John J. O'Brien, Lori Dollinger of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania; Amy Sheehy of Pine Plains, New York.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, 30046, 770-277-4550.

Two months since you departed and my heart still aches and cry out because misses you so very much! Don’t forget that promise to be by my side I need you now! You told me to never give up but sometimes it is so hard. But when I think of you and the way you fought in life to see the light I promise will never give up. Your picture is in my room in a very especial frame that says “Friends are gifts from God” My very especial friend you were and always will be alive in my heart. My kids Pray for You and the little one says Mrs. N who is in heaven and my girl still remembers singing songs on the phone for you and praying and you would say “thank you sweetie” We all miss you and love you forever!
