Owen Nathaniel Day age 12 of Dacula, GA passed away September 2, 2017. He is survived by his parents Jonathan and Malinda Day; brother, Harper Day all of Dacula; grandparents, Richard and Barbara Day, Jacksonville, FL; Ron and Mary Ann Morris, Miccosukee, FL; Aunts, Lisa LeGrand and her husband Fain, Becky Nimnicht and her husband Lee, Lydia Perez and her husband A.J. and Annalee Morris; uncle, Matthew Morris and his wife Susan; also surviving are many beloved cousins and extended family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at 12 Stone Church Hamilton Mill Campus 3858 Braselton Hwy. Buford, GA 30519. Pastor Kevin Myers will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Owen's memory to CURE Childhood Cancer 200 Ashford Center North, Suite 250, Atlanta, GA 30338 or https://curechildhoodcancer.org and please consider to donate blood, platelets and register with the Bone Marrow Registry.   6. I am a close friend of Hannah’s (one of Owen’s cousins) and although I never met Owen, I wanted to share my condolences. Hannah made me aware of the situation back when it first began and I have been praying for Owen and his family for several months. I will continue to pray for your family, that you will find comfort and strength in God. From what Hannah has told me, Owen was a very wonderful and special young man and I know that he will be greatly missed. I look forward to perhaps meeting him one day in Heaven. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.

He stood out to me as such a kind, fun, and smart young man. He was eager to learn and was a shining light in the classroom among the teachers and students. While you did not have enough time with him, he served his time well and I know you are proud of him. His precious smile and caring personality will long be remembered.

Please try to find a measure of comfort in knowing that Jehovah God will soon resurrect our dear loved ones (John 5:28-29). Oh how we long for the time when pain, suffering and death will be no more, these former things will have passed away (Revelation 21:3-5).

  63. Im sorry for your loss, have been through the same experince i found this isn’t always easy to get through alone.   66. Owen was in my daughter Evelyn Rose’s class over the last several years and made a lasting impression on her life. We did many fundraising efforts for Owen. Our entire family was devastated over the news of Owen’s passing but it hit Evelyn the hardest. She has insisted on wearing a orange shirt every day since Saturday when she learned of his being welcomed into Heaven. She is happy he will no longer suffer but she will forever miss her friend. We pray for your family. May God comfort you as only he can.
