Norma Jane Howell Perrin passed from this life and entered Heaven on December 9, 2010 at the age of 84. Norma was born in Camden, South Carolina on June 12, 1926 to Ralph Eldridge Howell and Mary Jane Barnes Howell. She grew up in Marietta, Georgia and attended Marietta High School where she was active in many clubs, was voted a senior class superlative, and was a soloist in the MHS chorus. After graduating in 1943, she attended Mars Hill College and Stetson University. While taking courses in interior design at The High Museum School of Art, she met and married Atlanta artist and Georgia State University professor, Joseph Perrin. They were happily married for over 63 years. Growing up, Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta. As an adult, she would become a longtime member of Clarkston Baptist Church, where she taught kindergarten and served as the director of the church nursery for over 30 years. She was currently a member of North Metro First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville. Norma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always supportive of her family, was known for her wonderful cooking, and loved to host large family gatherings and dinners. Nothing pleased her more than to spend time with babies and children. She adored her grandchildren and they adored their "Nana" - She was always kind and selfless, so loving, gentle, sweet and generous. She always put the needs and desires of others before her own. She truly served the Lord with gladness, and one could see Jesus in the way she lived her life. Norma's family members include: Joseph Perrin, Husband. Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To Jane, Josie, and family my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have so many happy memories of your sweet mother. She always made me feel special. Each time I came to your door I was always met with her sweet smile, that beautiful southern accent, and something wonderful to eat. She always had treats waiting. I never knew she studied interior design until reading the obit. That explains the beautiful home that she always kept. It helped shape my love for home decorating.
She and Chris are having a wonderful time in Heaven, I just know it. Love to each of you,
    Pat Tyson
