Philomina “Helen” Mantione Castiglione Helen Castiglione went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2018. She was born June 14, 1922 in Pittston, PA to Giuseppe and Frances Mantione. She was married on June 25, 1944 to Peter A. Castiglione. She is survived by Peter, her spouse of 74 years; her two sisters: Petrina Panzitta of Mt. Cisco, NY, and Josephine Panzitta of St. Louis, MO; her four children and spouses: Peter Castiglione Jr. (Bea) of Chatham, VA, Joseph Castiglione (Diana) of Coral Springs, FL, Daniel Castiglione (Linda) of Locust Grove, GA, and Edith Valentini (Levino) of Duluth, GA; 16 grandchildren and spouses: Peter Castiglione III (Alicia), Anna Kroner (Mark), Shane Fowlkes (Kim), Matthew Carter (Ami), Dennis Willis (Candy), Jamie Carter, Robert Carter, Tanya Castiglione Andrews, Jason Castiglione (Victoria), Sean Castiglione (Jacquelin), Daniel Castiglione, Jr. (Erika), Lauren Pierce (Scott), Kristen Farner (Steven), Jonathan Gillman (Ann), Eric Gillman (Melanie), David Valentini (Edna), Andrew Valentini (Ingrid); 24 great-grandchildren: Lulu, Austin, Aiden, Andrew, Josh, Tyler, Noah, Katelynn, Kinslee, Jordan, Caleb, Samuel, Maxwell, Maggie, Isaac, Derek, Emily, Kale, Brody, Branson, Josiah, Aidan, London, Jacob. Helen was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who unconditionally loved her family and friends and all those she encountered. She selflessly served others in her home and in the church as the hands and feet of Christ. Her heart was special. She loved like Jesus. Helen will be remembered for her life-long spiritual walk with Jesus, our Lord. She will be dearly cherished by her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in those that knew her.
