Ralph Hardie

Ralph S. Hardie of Ellijay, GA and Ocala, FL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was born March 20, 1933 in Gainesville, GA to Jewell B. Summerlin and John Hardie. He married Agnes Cain on June 27, 1952 and had 4 children. He worked alongside his wife at their business, International House of Pancakes, for 45 years before retiring. His interests were traveling, NASCAR racing, and helping his family, friends, and others as much as he could. Mr. Hardie is survived by his 4 children: Elaine Hardie, Roger (Jackie) Hardie, Mike (Teresa) Hardie, and Ann Hardie George. His survived by his grandchildren: Bill (Courtney) Hardie, Brandon Hardie, Kathy Hardie (Ryan), Joseph George (Jessica), Jessica (Joseph) McDonald, Samantha George, Sarah Wright, and Allan (Brittany) Skipper. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Saint Jude’s Children Hospital. Funeral Services will be held May 21, 2016 at 11am at Wages and Sons, Stone Mountain Chapel. Interment will be at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20th from 6-8pm at Wages and Sons, Stone Mountain Chappell. 770-469-9811
