Randy Johnnie Burdette of Dacula, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023.
Randy was born in Albany, GA, on February 23, 1957, and graduated from Albany High School in 1975. Randy relocated to Atlanta and married his high school sweetheart, Jenny Ham, in 1979.
Randy began working in the swimming pool industry after his move to Atlanta. He eventually found a work home with Allen Pool Service, working there from 1992 until his death.
When he wasn’t working, Randy enjoyed fishing, watching Braves baseball (a loyal fan even through the rough seasons), and playing ball in the yard with his dogs and grandchildren. His kindness and compassion were evident in his willingness to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He was an avid dog lover, always willing to help a dog who had fallen on hard times and loving his own dogs dearly.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Burdette and Aline Morris Burdette, and two of his siblings, Freddie Burdette and Kenny Burdette.
Randy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jenny Lee Ham Burdette, his daughters, Ashley Burdette Procter and Lindsey Burdette Stansell, his sons-in-law, Zach Procter and Blake Stansell, and his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Kensington, Caroline, and Jordan. He is also survived by his twin brother, Ricky Burdette, and siblings Vickie Burdette Amorose and Christy Burdette.
Visitation will be held at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on Friday, April 14, from 3:00-5:00PM.
A family burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Albany, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Randy’s memory to Canine Pet Rescue (https://caninepetrescue.networkforgood.com/).
