Frances Geraldine ?Gerry? Reid Brown of Atlanta, GA passed away on January 25, 2011. She was born and raised in Oneonta, AL and graduated from University of Alabama in 1950. Gerry married Fred Brown in 1953. They moved to Sandy Springs in 1956, which is where they raised their family. Gerry loved to play bridge, golf, garden, sew and travel. She actively participated in Sunday school, Seasoned Saints, Altar Guild, taught 4th grade Sunday School, VBS, Children?s Music Camp, and many other activities at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Buckhead. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Reynolds Brown Sr. She is survived by her children Kathy Brown Seamen Fred of Woodstock, Reynolds Brown Lynda of Marietta, Robin Brown Cruze Eddie Bray of Perry, Fran Brown McEachern of Cumming, grandchildren Rachel Kline, Jodi Perkins Bill, Nicole Seamen, Rey Brown, Zachary Brown, Lauren Hatcher Danny, Brandon Cruze, Caitlin Cruze, Dylan Cruze, Trey McEachern, Conner McEachern, and great-grandchildren Wade Hatcher, Brandon Baron, and Robby Perkins. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Buckhead. The family will receive visitors after the service in the Hall of the Apostles at the church. I was sad to hear about Gerry. I worked with Fred @ Brown & Lucas 1980-90 and thought the world of both Fred and Gerry. They were like 2nd parents to me and I know they will be missed.
