Rev. Robert C. Smallwood age 94 of Lilburn passed away November 20, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 76 years Helen Smallwood; son, Gary Smallwood and his wife Shirley of Snellville, GA; daughter, Jan Britt and her husband Jimmy of Martin, GA; son, Chris Smallwood and his wife Lisa of Murfreesboro, TN; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Rev. Smallwood served many churches through his ministry including Collins Hill Baptist, Lawrenceville Second Baptist, Yellow River Baptist, Shady Grove Baptist, Rocky Branch Baptist, Gleaners Baptist, Ebenezer Baptist, Bible Baptist, Calvary Baptist and Harvest Baptist; he retired from Corinth Baptist Church a. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Dr. Don Richards and Rev. Steven Smallwood will officiate. Burial will follow Melwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Rev. Smallwood’s memory to Hope Baptist Church 8 Pleasant Hill Church Rd. Winder, GA 30680. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at Wages & Sons Funeral Home Stone Mountain Chapel 1040 Main St. Stone Mountain, GA 30086 770-469-9811.
