  1. CandleImageOn behalf of the people of his hometown of Matanzas, Cuba, we wish to evoke the memory of our great friend and personality, Rolando del Villar Arnold, Esq. The son of an outstanding mother, wife, daughter and professional lady Ana Arnold del Villar and his husband Fernando del Villar y de los Rios, M.D., director of his own Dr. Villar Medical Clinic, Mayor of the City of Matanzas, Delegate to the National Assembly that discussed and approved the well known Cuban Constitution of 1940, Congressman, local Chief of Health and honorable and admired person.
    Rolando was born on August 16, 1935, attended Arturo Echemendia School, was member of the Cuban Boy Scouts, received classes of piano, was internal student in Belen Jesuit School, in Havana from 1948 to 1954 and graduated from the University of Havana Law School in 1960. In exile, after the communist dictatorship resided in Lawrence, Mass and moved to Georgia where he was Circulation Manager of the “Atlanta Journal Constitution” for forty years and presided the Cuban Association of Atlanta. A great friend and person of total trust that we are leaving today.
