Rosalee Vernelia Brannon

rosalee brannon

February 15, 1924 ~ July 12, 2022

Born in: Miltonvale, Kansas
Resided in: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Rosalee V Brannon (Lawrenceville, GA) was quietly ushered from earth into heaven near sunrise, July 12, 2022. After living nearly 98½ years of devoted faithfulness to her family and her Lord, she went to sleep in her own home and awoke in her new eternal home, finally in the presence of Jesus, her husband and other family members.

Rosalee V Carry was born February 15, 1924 in Miltonvale, KS to Rev. Earl J and Vernelia Carry. She attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College (KS) and Bethany College (Lindsborg, KS) earning degrees in Education and Music. She married the true love of her life, Ronald R Brannon July 20, 1949, enjoying 63 years of marriage and ministry until his death in 2012. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Rev. Gerald E Carry, and a son-in-law Ron Storer. She leaves behind her three children – Rhonda Brannon Storer, Rod (Mary) Brannon and Randall (Twila) Brannon, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Our mother was a pastor’s wife – and truly a class act, exemplifying a smiling graciousness and warmth to everyone she met. Whether teaching children in a public school setting, ministering on the organ or piano in a church setting or entertaining as hostess with a meal in the home, she was deeply genuine and generous.

Rosalee was blessed with a true gift of music (piano, organ and voice) which was her lifelong passion and likely what many people first think of when they remember her. Although she spent her lifetime as public school teacher, private music teacher, church organist and pianist, she may have never been fully aware of how much her music was a blessing to others – but she certainly knew how much personal enjoyment it gave her. Even up to a few days before her death, she could still be found at her piano, enjoying her passion.

Our mother has run her race well and is now reaping her eternal reward … fully ALIVE in the presence of her Savior. “I sing because I know He lives“.
