Sandra Ann Wiley Thompson known to friends and family as Sandy of Lawrenceville Georgia lost her battle with cancer on August 30, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her Father Roy Wiley, Mother Roxie Wiley, and grandson Ty Smith. She is survived by her husband Charles Thompson, daughters Courtnei Dendy (Fredrick), Katy Organista (Javier), grandchildren Caitlyn Williams, Collin Smith, Roy Organista, Emily Sather, Bradley Sather, great grandchildren Cash Woody, Birdie Woody, siblings Connie Carpenter (Jody), Donna Morgan (Bobby), and Bill Wiley (Debra).
Sandy loved to life and enjoyed life to the fullest. Anyone who met her loved her. She was passionate about flowers and gardening and had been president of the garden club. She was also a big believer in helping her community she was director of the Duluth Co-Op for many years. She became a Stephens Minister and during her time in Florida loved cooking for her church’s congregation every Wednesday night. Her greatest enjoyment came from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid animal lover and up until the very end had her dog by her side. She was kind and would help anyone she saw that was in need. She will be desperately missed.
The family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM.
