Sara Smith Benefield of Lawrenceville passed away on November 30, 2017 peacefully at her home at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband JW Benefield, parents, Otho and Netta Smith, sister, Hildred Bennett and son in law Jim Cooper. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Cooper of Lawrenceville, Ann and her husband Randy Davis of Dacula, grandson Justin and his wife Madi Davis of Dallas Ga. Brothers, Jimmy Smith of Tucker, Kenon Smith of Dacula, Roger and his wife Jean Smith of Dacula and sister Janice Phillips of Monroe and several nieces and nephews. She was a loyal member of Bethesda United Methodist Church for over 60 years and loved the Bethesda community. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church PO Box 464597 Lawrenceville, GA 30042. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Pastor Dana Overton-Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550.   1. We loved our dear, sweet friend so much and will miss her with all our hearts. We just know that her vision is 20/20 now and that she is with her sweet J. W. As well as a host of family and friends. We love you all so much.

  3. Susan and Ann, you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. She was such a brave and determined lady through her health problems. She was such a sweet lady who cared about others. My prayers are with you and the family.
