Shirley Reagin Scott, age 82, of Lithonia, GA passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Newton Scott, Sr; sister, Linda Delay; and brother, Neil Reagin. Shirley is survived by her son, Tim Scott of Dalton; daughter, Susan Harrisi of London, England; son, Ira Newton "Scotty" Scott, Jr. of Lawrenceville; sisters, Sue Cheek, Ernestine "Teen" Roberts, Musette Reagin, and Sybil Gilley; grandchildren, Sheryl Twitty and Christy Scott; and great grandchildren, Calista and Lucien Twitty. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Wadley, Rev. Eddie Herring & Rev. Grady Wigley officiating with interment following at the church cemetery. Mrs. Scott will lie in state beginning at 1:30. In lieu of flowers donations, in Shirley's honor, may be made to Safe Harbor Ministries Missions Fund, P.O. Box 726, Chatsworth, GA 30705 or Hi Hope Center, 882 Hi-Hope Rd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043, The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550. Tim, Susan and Scotty, I loved your MOM and DAD. Your Dad officiated at my and JB’s wedding 40yrs ago in April. They were so special to the Holly Springs UMC family as well to the Parks family.
