Douglas Sears, age 66, of Dacula, Georgia died May 22, 2010. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Wages and Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Ken Southerland officiating. Douglas was born in Gary, Indiana. He was a loving father, husband, and a proud grandfather. He was a devout Christian. He loved working in his garden, classic AMC cars, playing Santa Clause for all of the children, and missionary work. Survivors include his wife, Linda Sears; his 4 children, Kristen Sears, Kent Sears, Kara Sears, and Todd Clawson; 4 grandchildren, Stella Mabrey, Layla Mabrey, Jack Clawson, and Sofi Clawson; 2 sisters, Vivian Sanford and Claudia Garver; and a brother, Ron Hines. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 at Wages and Sons Funeral Hime, Gwinnett Chapel. Condolences may be expressed at www.wagesandsons.com

  1. Although Linda we only spoke a couple of times I wanted to express to you the shock I felt as I saw the loss of “our Santa” in this mornings paper. May the peace of God’s love and your family give you serenity at this most difficult time. Santa’s seamstress
