  1. CandleImageThe world has lost a very special light. The Selena I knew was very passionate about her work, taking on as many projects as she could and giving each and every one a very unique representation and extraordinary attention to detail. She had a great eye. She was also a diehard fan of the Giants and Bills. I had never met someone who loved football more. She undoubtedly loved her family and her cats. Mama Lu was always first on her mind and in her heart 🙂 Although her quick passing leaves sorrow and sadness, we know she is surrounded in heaven with those close to her and she is dancing. Good bye Nina B. I wish you peace.

  2. My condolences to the Stephanie and the entire family. May God’s grace comfort you all during this time of bereavement.

  3. Will miss you dearly piercing eyes. You were an awesome, kind and thoughtful person. Words cannot express how much you will be missed especially your dear neighbors at TC… Shine on up there with the angels. You left this earth physical with the highest dignity, but your spirit will continue on.

  4. The Selena I knew in NYC and in San Francisco was an abusive and violent person. I still bear literal and physical scars from her, but have healed the emotional ones she tried to leave me with. Who knows, maybe she changed over time. But she embodied her role as abusive and controlling partner so well that it’s hard to believe it wasn’t hardwired into her soul. I’m sorry that I didn’t have a chance to let her know how far I’ve come from who she thought she had under her thumb.
I do think it’s telling that all of the photos in her memorial are of her, alone. Were there no pictures of her with friends or family?
