  2. To the Family and Love Ones of Christopher Smith or Spike to ME.

Christopher was like a big brother to me and my husband. He always took care of us at Ft. Benning. That is where we developed our lasting friendship. He was a good man. I remember when I was in my car accident, he called and gave me his encouragement and told me that I was strong and can make it. To the love ones he left behind, I want to give you my encouragement. He is in a better place and have the wings of health and safty around him. Christophers strong and stern voice will never be forgotten. He will always have a special spot in my heart.

  3. My heart welming condolence goes out to the Smith family. I was deeply saddned when my sister Juliet informed me of the passing of Christopher. His soul is now in a peacful place.

  4. I met Smitty at Fort Belvoir, VA in October 87 when we both were attending Generator training. Yes, we referred to him as “Mars Blackman aka Spike Lee”. He use to kill us with his dance moves every opportunity he had. I missed him in 93 when I arrived at Fort Benning. Herbin would keep me informed about him after he learned I went to AIT with him. I know he will sorely be missed by family and friends as he touched many with his infectious smile & great attitude. May God bless you Smitty, your family and your friends.
