Suzanne M. Welch (formerly Suzanne M. Cooper), age 81, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. A longtime resident of Lawrenceville, Suzanne was born in Jefferson to the late Henry A. and Frances Hanson Merrill. She leaves behind her devoted husband Ronnie Welch; three children, Elaine Ward, Eric Eaton, and Kevin Eaton; a brother, Henry A. Merrill, Jr; other relatives and friends; and her kitty, Shirley. She was a member of Israel Baptist Church in Atlanta. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday May 28, 2016 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA, 770-277-4550. Flowers are welcome.

Suzanne and I have know each other for so many years of the time she was married to my brother William, we both had a good life together and had lot of fun shopping, going out to eat. I know now she resting in peace with no pain and worry, my heart and prayers, go out to the family. May God give you comfort at the time you have to say good-bye. She will be missed and I will miss the phone calls and remembering my last birthday with her and Ronnie. God Bless You All
Suzanne was a wonderful sister. Even though we didn’t have the opportunity to grow up together I always enjoyed spending time with her and her family. It was so good to be able to give her away at her wedding. Our prayers for hope and encouragement are for Ronnie and my wonderful niece and nephews and friends of the family. We will miss her now but a time is coming when we will be together for ever. God bless you and we love you all very much.
