Tony Dawson

Tony Dawson, a cherished member of the Cedartown community, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born on March 10, 1956, in Cedartown, GA, to Bobbie Anderson Dawson.

Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin W. Anderson Sr., Lucille Reynolds Anderson, James L. Dawson, Emma Lee, and Stephen Dawson. He is survived by his loving sons, Mark Dawson, Scott Dawson, and Robert Andy Dawson; his dear mother, Bobbie Anderson Dawson; his brother, Lance Dawson. Tony was also blessed with 2 cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Tony’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family and community will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His gentle spirit and warm smile touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Tony’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Anderson – Reeves Memorial Cemetery in Fish Creek, GA with Rex Millsaps officiating. Additionally, Freida Walker will be reading “In His Footsteps”.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Anderson – Reeves Memorial Cemetery Fund: C/O Rex Millsaps (233 N. Steel Bridge Road Eatonton, GA 31024) in memory of Tony Dawson. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
