It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tracey Moon on October 21st, 2024. Born on January 2, 1964, Tracey was a beacon of kindness, humor, and compassion. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her, always offering a helping hand and a heart full of love.

Tracey is survived by her loving daughter Olivia Nelson, her husband, Jeremy, and her cherished grandsons, Gabriel and Elijah, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her dear brother, Gregory Moon, his wife, Lynda, as well as her niece Casey Bowie, and her nephew Mitchell Moon. Tracey leaves behind numerous extended family members and cherished friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sue Moon, and her beloved dog Chunky, who brought her so much comfort and happiness.

Tracey was passionate about animal rescue, dedicating much of her time and energy to caring for animals in need. Her selfless work in this field was a testament to her compassionate nature and her love for all of God’s creatures. A devout Christian, her faith guided her throughout her life, offering strength and peace in times of both joy and sorrow.

Tracey’s laughter, her unwavering kindness, and her deep devotion to her family and faith will be missed more than words can express. While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.

A service to honor Tracey’s life will be held on Sunday October 27th at 11 am at Wages and Sons Stone Mountain. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to LifeLine Animal Project in Dekalb County, continuing her legacy of love and care for animals.

  6. CandleImageDear Livi and family.

I am still shocked and saddened by your mother’s passing. Tracey was a very special person in my life and I am very thankful for her kind heart and support during our times together. It most certainly made a change on myself to become a better person. It is a great privilege to have known and be a part of such a loving family and watching you grow up to be the wonderful person and mother you are today. Just know that Tracey was always proud of you and will always be with us in heart and soul. Loved by many and never forgotten.

My wife Cindy and I send our deepest condolences to the Moon family and prayers for healing during this trying time as well as in celebration of Tracey’s life.

For Tracy. Peace, love and happiness in the great journey beyond. Always in great company with Gramie Sue and PaPa Joe. Not to mention all of the animals with you that felt your kind heart. So many that even Noah would be proud. We will all meet again soon enough. Thank you and love you always ❤️
