Emmazette Maynard Thompson Upchurch, 63, of Hoschton, GA, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away on July 23, 2011 of pancreatic cancer. She was born, January 15, 1948 to the late Tim and Marjory Taylor Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Allen Thompson, a younger brother, Daniel Tim Maynard and a nephew, Brennan Maynard. She is survived by her husband, Arthur B. Upchurch; daughter, Amy Beth Griffin and her husband, Daniel of Buford, GA; granddaughters, Christina Walters and her husband, Mike of Gainesville, GA, racheal Rindfleisch of Burford, GA; son, Wesley Allen Thompson and his wife, Cortni , grandson, Andrew of Columbus, OH; stepsons, David Upchurch of San Francisco; Brian Upchurch and his daughter, Tyler of Mansfield, GA, Jason Upchurch and his wife, Jessica, grandson, Trysan and granddaughter, Juliana of Bethesda, MD; sisters, Opal Blake of South Point, OH, Annie McClure of Jefferson, GA and Connie Jones and her husband, Ronald of Huntington, WV; brothers, Randale Maynard and his wife, Vivian of South Point, OH and Alvis Maynard and his wife, Clydene of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Kathleen Maynard of Huntington, WV and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at a later date in Huntington, WV. Interment will be at Community Memorial in Wayne, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: North Georgia Mopar Club- Hero Fund, P.O. Box 426, Lovejoy, GA 30250 or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Inc., 2150 Limestone Pkwy, Ste 222, Gainesville, GA 30501 or the American Cancer Society.
