  19. Dear Walker Family,
These last few years of college, y’all have become a second family to me at Carolina. Allyson was not only one of my best friends, but also a true sister to me giving me more love than I could ever imagine or even begin to deserve. Take pride in knowing that you raised an amazing daughter, a stunning girl, and an even better friend. When I had the best of news and more importantly, grief that brought me to my knees, I always called Allyson first. I think about your family all the time and will continue thinking of y’all for years to come. Allyson will always be one of the brightest parts of my life and a constant reminder of someone that I should strive to be. She will always be my sorority sister, a best friend, and years down the road- a bridesmaid like we had always planned. Allyson will never be forgotten and always be a reminder for all of us to strive to be better each and every day.

    All my love,
    Jill

  26. Glen, Sheryl, and Brian…so sorry for your loss…my cousin Peter lost a son a couple of years ago, and there is nothing we can say to console you at this time…just realize that your daughter was a precious gift from your Heavenly Father and the twenty two years that she was in your life are full of treasured memories…we know not what the future holds but knowing the love that you shared as family…I truly believe that you will see her again after this life and maybe at that time…we can understand why your angel has been taken…but now it is impossible to understand …there is no answer to why? We are supposed to leave our children here! It’s difficult to find words to express how sorry we are about the loss of Allyson. She was so young, it seems very unfair that she was taken from you. Please just know that we are thinking about you and saying prayers that you will get through this very sad time. With love, your friends Darrell and Emily Colee

  31. To The Walker Family,

Allyson was an amazing friend and wonderful person. She really knew how to be there for someone and enjoy every situation she encountered. She was truly loved by many and will forever and always be remembered. She lived her life to the fullest and it shows by how many people are affected by this terrible loss. Your daughter was one of the greatest people I will ever meet and I thank her for letting me get to know her and become her friend. My condolences go out to you, but you should be very proud of the daughter you raised and be inspired by how many people cared for her.

  32. Dearest Glenn, Sheryl and Brian,

  33. Dear Sheryl, Glen and Brian,
I had so much having Allyson as a student in preschool, and a friend to my daughter Abby. What a beautiful, sweet, child. My deepest sympathy to all of you during this time.
    Alice Leiker

  34. Dear Glen, Sheryl and Brian,
We were all so very sorry to hear about Allyson. It was a privilege to have had the opportunity to see her grow from the child we knew on the cul-de-sac in to a bright and talented young woman. She will be sorely missed by everyone who might have also had the privilege of knowing her. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there is anything that any of us can do for you and your family in this very difficult time.

  35. Glen and Sheryl,
We send our deepest condolences to you and your family. We remember Allyson’s huge smile and heart to match. You raised a wonderful daughter. We are all lucky to have known her. Our daughters were the best of friends and roommates too. It felt like real family. When Allyson came to stay at our home during one of their “moves”, I remember her coming home from work walking through the front door with the look of “hey I’m home” and seeing her in the kitchen early one morning at the breakfast bar with wet hair wearing her Chi O bath wrap eating a bowl of cereal. It warmed my heart that she was comfortable in our home. I wish I could go back, lock the door and never let her leave. I can’t imagine Miranda’s future without Allyson, imagining our girls in each others weddings and sharing all their special moments. Allyson is gone but I know she will always be one of Miranda’s best friends. We too came to love Allyson and will remember her always.
    Cindy and Larry

  36. Dear Glen, Sheryl and Brian,
There are just no words. All seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Allyson’s passing, the loss of such a blessing. We believe that the time spent with those we’ve lost make them a part of us forever. While no one can heal the pain and heartache of the loss of a child/sister, our wish for you is that as she lives on through all those she has touched with her beautiful soul that you can gain some comfort. Please know our thoughts and hearts are with you.
Doug, Lauren, Brad and Randy Hayes

  37. Dear Walker Family,
I know that what you are going through right now is unfathomable. Allyson had a contagious smile whenever she walked into the Chi Omega house and had captivating eyes that would remind you of how genuine of a person she was. Always willing to help out and make you smile, she made friends easily and was loved by everyone that she met. Please know that she has made a strong impact upon all of her sisters in Chi Omega and her energetic spirit will never be forgotten.

  38. Dear Glen, Sheryl, and Brian,

I cannot find the words to express how sorry I am for your family. Allyson was my oldest and dearest friend. When we were younger, Allyson used to get mad at me because I copied her. Looking back, I could not think of anyone I would want to be like more than Allyson. I have so many memories of us as kids, and I could not name all of them, but that is not what stands out. What does stand out in my memory when I think about Allyson is how good of a friend she was. I can only hope that one day my daughter will have a friend like Allyson was to me. She will live on in my memories forever. Please let me know if there is anything you need, now or ten years from now. I am so very sorry for your loss.

    Love,
    Anna Barker

  39. Our condolences to the Walker family. May the God of all comfort become your strength and courage during this most difficult time. Psalm 46:1

  40. Glen,Sheryl & Brian,
It is hard to find the words… Allyson is a beautiful person inside and out. We watched her grow up with Anna, she played with Matt & Trevor & she was always a joy to be around, lighting up everything around her with her bright smile. She & Anna were always happy when we had the sausage dip at new year’s day – oh, simple pleasures! She will always hold a special place in our hearts, beautiful and full of life. With our love…

  41. Glen, Sheryl and Brian,
We are not sure how to find the words to express just how saddened we are for the loss of Allyson. Her beauty and kindness were so evident here on earth as I am sure she will “light the way” in heaven. You will all remain in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

“Oh God, let this flame kindle in me the assurance of your presence, let it warm my soul so that I might find courage, strength and hope in each hour that you walk with me. Fill me with your light and guide Allyson to that light eternal.”
    Amen.

  42. Glen, Sheryl, and Brian , We are so shocked and so very sad to learn only moments ago of the passing of your beautiful Allyson. There are just no words. Please know you have our condolences and please let us know if there is anything at all we can do. We would have been at the Memorial today had we known. You do have our prayers.

  43. Dear Glen, Sheryl, and Brian,
I am so sorry to hear about Allyson’s passing. I remember her in the youth group at McKendree and on youth trips. I found a picture of her from when she was about 13 smiling brightly on one of our youth retreats. She was such a lovely young lady and grew into such a beautiful young woman. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for peace and comfort and for good memories. May God hold you close during this time and in the days ahead.
    Love,
    Beth Dickinson
