James Lee Weathers, Jr. was led to the arms of his angelic brother Alan when he passed from the earth April 3, 2012. Born October 17, 1951 in Key West, FL he was a gifted musician recognized by national symphonic masters. James accepted one of the five scholarships he was offered to further his studies at NC School of the Arts. He was a master trombonist and classical pianist. James' passion was music, and through this he expressed the true essence of his spirit. His teachers said James had the rare gift of not only the talent, but also the love of music. He is survived by his loving mother Betty Weathers of Lilburn, GA, brother and sister-in-law David and Beth Weathers of Lilburn, GA, his nieces and nephew Ansley Weir of Houston, TX, Katie Weathers of Denver, CO, and Patrick Weathers of Lilburn, GA, aunt Faye Pangle Green of Waxhaw, NC and many cousins and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation/NARSAD, 60 Cutter Mill Road, Suite 404, Great Neck, NY 11021, or online at www.bbrfoundation.org.
