On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Willene Campbell Meeks went home to be with the Lord. She was 70 years old. Willene was born on October 3, 1950, in Decatur, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gladys Campbell, and her husband of 36 years, James L. Meeks Sr.

After retiring from Advanced Allergy & Asthma, Willene enjoyed spending time with family. She adored her grandson, KJ, whom she called her little angel, and loved watching him on FaceTime calls. She had the sweetest disposition and brought light to everyone she touched. She was a very loving and a selfless woman and will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her son, Todd (Ashlyn) Meeks, stepson James (Malinda) Meeks, brothers Lonnie (Susan) Campbell, Bobby (Jan) Campbell, grandchildren Kolby “KJ” Meeks, Alexus Meeks, Kaylee Meeks, nieces and nephews Niki Campbell Howard, Chad Campbell, Ryan (Jamie) Huff, Jalayne (Adam) Lane, Jeremy (Danielle) Campbell and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m and a service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m at Wages & Sons, Stone Mountain Chapel, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice

As we aged, we didn’t get to see each other as much but I know our love for each other was always there. Sorry I can’t make it to the service Saturday, but I just have gotten back to work and Saturday is extremely busy. I love you and your sweet family hope to get to meet Ashlyn and KJ someday.
