William Carl “Bill” Mewborn Jr. age 87 of Lilburn, Ga passed on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Mr. Mewborn was an US Army veteran, retried truck driver for James Brown Trucking with 45 years of service. In his spare time he was an avid NASCAR fan, loved camping , golfing, putting puzzles together, and watching Western movies.

Surviving are wife of 28 years: Ann F. Mewborn of the home, Children, Sister, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, many friends and relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Pastor Steve King officiating, interment will follow in the Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve has pallbearers: Roger Singleton, Mike Wallace, Kenny Flowers, Steve Flowers, Lance Martin and Danny Ergle.

Flowers are accepted or contributions to your favorite charity.

    He liked to be in the thick of things too. He was like Eddie in that he liked to go out and eat. Love you, Gail P

  3. I just finished watching the service for Bill, so glad I could do this on line as I am not feeling well today. It was a beautiful service for a very special man. I really enjoyed spending time with Bill and you Ann on Thursdays. He was great to be around. I know God has welcomed him with open arms.
