Scott Cravens, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Scott Edward Cravens was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, on February 4, 1983, to Ron and Cathy Cravens. He grew up in a multitude of places – Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania where he graduated from high school. He then moved to Kansas with his parents and attended the University of Kansas (KU) where he graduated with a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering. He was employed with an engineering consulting firm in California.
He met the love of his life, Kodi Caster at KU where she was also studying to be an aerospace engineer. From there, their careers carried them to Wichita, Kansas, to Redondo Beach, California, to Munich, Germany, and then to Stone Mountain, Georgia. They lived and travelled with their two dogs who also loved him dearly, Loki and Pilot.
Scott grew up with two brothers, Chris of Arlington, Virginia (wife Kelly, children Natalie, Charleigh and Will), and Travis of Wichita, Kansas (wife Janine). As brothers, they would get into trouble as boys do, but always remained close and would have a great time together.
Scott had a profound love of life and enjoyed everything he encountered, from sports, movies (particularly Disney animated movies, and of course his favorite, Harry Potter) to plants, photography, woodworking, and video games. He and Kodi would go on adventures wherever they lived and loved to travel together.
Scott was incredibly kind and generous to whomever needed help, even giving the shoes he was wearing to those in need. He inspired everyone who knew him to be a more loving and caring person.
Scott will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Kodi, and Cravens family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Scott was an incredible man, and we cannot imagine what you are feeling. Hopefully you will find guidance through this. Though it’s not much, please accept our condolences.
I had the pleasure of working with Scott early in my engineering career. He was a very skillful engineer and a wonderful mentor. What I remember most is Scott’s kindness and patience. I learned a lot from him and am very saddened to hear of this loss.
I didn’t know Scott for nearly long enough. I met him through work back in February. He was passionate about the work, and patient when catching me up on concepts. Watching his dynamic with the team, it was clear how they all cared for him. He will be sorely missed.
I am very sorry for your lost. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Keith and I send our love and prayers for comfort and peace to you Kodi at this most difficult time.
I am so so sorry. He left this earth way to soon…like your mother. Your mom and dad were so special to me. It was an honor to have you in sixth grade! God bless you and comfort you.
(Mrs. Troyer) Joyce.
Dearest Kodi and family,
Our thoughts are with the entire family at the time of your loss. Scott was a thorough gentleman and we have fond memories of our first meeting in December 2019 over a wonderful Greek meal. His friendship with Kodi and their partnership together was inspirational. His surprise entrance at Kodi’s farewell and presenting her with a gift on his knees is a touching and vivid memory. Our prayers are with the entire family at this difficult moment and express our deep gratitude for having had Scott as part of our lives.
I was sorry to hear of your loss, our thoughts are with your family and you in this difficult time.
