Anna Belle (Delafose) Arnum, 88, of Lake Charles Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Anna Belle was born on February 19, 1935 in Mamou, LA to the late Esvelle and Oleana Shillow Delafose.

She was married to the late Gordon Arnum. After 35 years of teaching in Hartford & Bloomfield Connecticut school system, Anna Belle retired in 1994 and moved back to Lake Charles, LA. Anna loved the Lord and served in many churches as a minister, evangelist and prison ministry.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking and working with children.

She graduated from Gambling State University with a bachelor degree. She received her masters & doctorate from the University of Hartford in child development and nutrition.

Anna Belle was preceded in death by her parents, Esvelle & Oleana Delafose; daughter, Sherry Dupont; brothers, Sidney Guillory, Wallace Delafose, Lawrence Delafose, Sr., Rodney Delafose and sister, Angelia Batiste.

Anne Belle is survived by sister, Evelyn; son/nephew, Lawrence (Poncho) Delafose, Jr.; granddaughter, Victoria Delafose; niece, Gwendolyn Rodgers; nephew, Kevin Delafose; nephew, Emray Delafose; niece, Jannetta Delafose; niece, Jackie Delafose; niece, Sherron Gurvin; nephew, Earl Baptiste; nephew, Wayne Baptiste; niece, Marie Baptiste; Host of niece, nephews & friends.
