William Gordon Bell, Jr. age 85 passed away October 23, 2011. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years Frances Janette Bell, daughters and sons in law Carolyn and Mike Millen, Sandra and Mike Ruffing and his only granddaughter, Elizabeth Ruffing. Gordon enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country on the U.S.S. Rolette during WWII. Gordon was a deacon who faithfully served God at Columbia Drive Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville. He worked at Sears in various capacities for 46 years. Gordon was an avid runner in his earlier years, a golfer after retirement, and an enthusiastic Georgia Bulldog football fan throughout his life. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Wages & Sons Funeral Home Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. Interment will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 25, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made in his name to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or First Baptist of Lawrenceville.   1. Mr. Bell will be remembered for all the gracious service he did for Lizzy’s Girl Scout Troop. We enjoyed every meeting he attended. He was so sweet and kind with the girls. I enjoyed every conversation I had with him. He knew so much about so much. The family is in our thoughts and prayers. Love The Robertsons
