Mark Gordon Blanchard, 60, died August 8, 2013 at his home in Atlanta. Born June 18, 1953, the son of Diane and Malcolm Blanchard, Mark attended Chamblee High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. His travels took him many places, including Amelia Island, Florida, where he pursued his love of the game of golf while working at the Amelia Island Golf Club. Mark is survived by his mother, Diane B. Hawkins, Atlanta; brother Matthew P. Blanchard, Cramerton, NC and his daughter, Allison; sister Carol E. Blanchard, St. Simons, GA and her son Wesley Kayyali; brother, Malcolm R. Blanchard, Jr., Atlanta and his wife Sara and their daughters, Julia and Grace; and, brother David P. Blanchard, Avondale Estates, GA and his wife Talia and their children Vivian and Bo. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 435 Peachtree Street, on Tuesday, August 13, at 11 A.M. Rev. Daniel P. Matthews, Jr., officiating, assisted by clergy of St. Luke's. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Memorials Committee of St. Luke's will be appreciated.

  1. I went to school with Mark at Chamblee High School. I used to look in the phone book occasionally to see if he was still in the Atlanta area. I see that he served in the military. Thank you for your service. My condolences to the family
