THE VILLAGES – Eufemia Betanzos, 103, passed from this life Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Born in Cuba, Eufemia was a seamstress for Macy’s department store in Atlanta, GA. She moved to The Villages from Atlanta in 2001. She enjoyed cooking. Eufemia was predeceased by her husband Alvaro in 1988.
She leaves her sons, Anibal C. Betanzos (Mercedes), Andres Betanzos (Robbie), grandchildren, Lourdes Betanzos, Christina Pint (Bruce), Anibal C. Betanzos, Jr., Antonio L. Betanzos, Freddie Betanzos (Ashley), Michael A. Betanzos (Mikelle) and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with interment following at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 am at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550.
