Hariprasad C. Parikh

Hariprasad (Harishbhai) Chimanlal Parikh (Gaam: Thasra), age 79, husband of Kirnaben Parikh, father of Ashiniben, Komalben, and Rashmibhai Parikh, passed away on Tuesday, Sep 3, 2024, in Lawrenceville, GA.

He was a lifelong Satsangi who had the opportunity to do darshan of Shastriji Maharaj and seva of Yogiji Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and Mahant Swami Maharaj. With Yogiji Maharaj’s ashirvaad, he came to the U.S. in 1970 to pursue his Master’s in Chemical Engineering and moved to Chicago. With Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s agna, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.

He was a pioneer haribhakta and played an instrumental role in the early development of the Satsang mandals in Chicago and Atlanta. Over the years, he offered seva in many capacities, including accounting, kitchen, and outreach. Today, we remember him fondly for his love of Satsang, Swamishri, and his fellow Haribhakto. But mostly, we remember him for his samjan and dradh nishtha, which were deep and profound.

Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj has given ashirvaad that Harishbhai is sitting in Akshardham. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support over the years.
