Hazel Spain Dolph, age 82 of Lilburn,GA passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017; proceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rowland Eugene Dolph. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Beverly Dolph Manson and Bill of Gainesville,GA; Susan Dolph Foster and Steve of Lawrenceville,GA and also her sons and daughter-in-law; Timothy Dolph of Encinitas,CA; and Billy and Sharon Dolph of Dacula,Ga. She is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert (Bob) and Maija Dolph of Jonesboro,GA and also her grandchildren Tina Haney Voss and her husband Derrick; Bryce Manson, Brooks Manson, Brennan Manson, Taylor Dolph, Ansley Dolph and Grayson Foster; great granddaughter Hannah Voss as well numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dolph was born in Gainesville (Hall County),GA, the youngest of 13 children of Frank and Paralee Wooten Spain. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1954, married and moved to New Orleans,LA where the family resided until 1980. Relocating in Gwinnett County, Hazel owned and operated restaurants in Lilburn, and also Grayson Child Care Center. No bio on Mrs. Dolph would be complete without an emphasis on her love and devotion to the Georgia Bulldogs. Neither bad weather, failing health nor family obligations could keep her away from Sanford Stadium on a football Saturday.She felt she knew each player personally as she read every word written in the sports pages and saved every penny she earned to guarantee her traval and a seat at any bowl game the Dawgs played in. Her children invite all of their family and friends to join them at the celebration service honoring the life of Hazel Spain Dolph which will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2pm in the Chapel of Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville GA; Dr Terry Walton officiating. Visitaton with the family will be Saturday at 1pm, with the service, a short reception and graveside ceremony immediately following.
