James E. Seal “Jimmy”, 73 of Snellville passed away on July 2, 2022 after a battle with brain cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Everett Seal, nephew Mark Johnson, and brother-in-law Charles King.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Beverly Seal, daughters Lisa Allen and husband Greg of Loganville, and Dana Carson of Bloomington, IN, grandchildren Amber Barker and husband Cody of Loganville, Tyler Mccart of Loganville, Trevor, Taylor, and Tori Carson of Bloomington, IN, great grandchildren, Cohen and Caiden Barker, sisters Mary King of Snellville and Frances Johnson and husband Lamar of Stockbridge, and several nieces and nephews.

As a teen, Jimmy played in a band with friends which lead to a lifetime love of music. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to his favorite records. Jimmy served in the Marines from 1968 – 1970 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. After returning home from war, he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years, retiring in 2003.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Visitation with the family from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or the Glioblastoma Foundation.
