James Linwood “Wink” Hewatt age 88 of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020. Born in Stone Mountain, on Thursday June 9, 1932 he was the son of the late James Reece and Kate Campbell Hewatt. At the young age of 18 Mr. Hewatt joined the US Air Force, and proudly served his country for four years. In 1954 Mr. Hewatt started to work in the pump and well business, Virginia Supply and Well Company, He later went to work for Robinson Well Company until his retirement. Mr. Hewatt was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years Sarah Mitchell Hewatt of Stone Mountain, GA, daughters: Cathy Hall of Gainesville, GA and Donna (Steve) Fulford of Loganville, GA. Brothers: Billy Hewatt of Loganville,GA and Charles (Becky) Hewatt of Dawsonville,GA Sisters: Opal Garmon, Eugenia (Harold) Everett, and Julia Mobley all of Stone Mountain, GA, Five Grandchildren and their spouses, and Thirteen Great Grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at the Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, Georgia. With Pastor Jonathan Banks officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the US Air Force. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at 1:00 PM til 2:00 PM at Wages and Sons Funeral Home, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA., 30083.
