Jordan.

Jan was born on October 9, 1949, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Lebanon High School
and earned her degree in Education from Lock Haven University. After several years of substitute
teaching, she found her passion in teaching Alternative Education for Wyandotte and Southgate Public
Schools. In addition, Jan devoted many years to volunteering with the Wyandotte Figure Skating Club for
her daughter’s synchronized skating team, the fall competition and the ice show. She was an avid
reader, loved camping with the Cozy Campers and the beach was her favorite place to be.

Per her wishes, Jan was cremated and her remains will be scattered, alongside her husband’s, in the
ocean. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made as the donor chooses.

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageWill always remember our Christmas’s at Mamaw & Papaw’s house. All the good food and family. I always looked forward to seeing everyone. Your mom always had the most infectious smile. I will always miss her and Uncle Ed.

  2. CandleImageCarrie you were a blessing every step of the way in your mom’s life. Jan made her mark in a life cut way too short. Glad she lived in Georgia near you, Bill and Luke! So sorry for this devastating loss. Prayers of peace. Love you!

  3. CandleImageSo sorry to hear about Jan. As fellow cozy campers with her and Ed and the rest of the group, we have so many wonderful, fun memories of camping with them and all of our children. It’s hard to believe she’s not with us anymore. May the angels watch over her soul and may God take her straight up to heaven. Carole and John Stephenson

  4. CandleImageI’m so deeply saddened to hear of Jan’s passing. Growing up in the ice rink she made such an impression on me. My mom was very young and Jan helped guide her through so many ice shows and completions. She welcomed her as a part of the Car Pool Momma’s and always had a smile in the stands. I never forgot that smile or her hugs. The Jordan family is in our prayers. May you find comfort in your memories and peace knowing she made a difference in this world with her wonderful heart. Love and condolences from my mom and I.

  5. CandleImageJan was such a sweet lady. Growing up at the Wyandotte ice Arena , I will always remember her kind words and beautiful smile she gave every time I walked into the rink. My prayers are with Carrie and her entire family in this time of grief. Jam is very loved and will be missed by everyone.

  6. CandleImageCarrie, Luke and Bill, You were the center of Jan’s and Ed’s lives. So much love and pride and happiness bestowed on all of you. We met Jan over 50 years ago and made an instant connection. She and I shared the same passions–our girls, born 6 weeks apart; education and teaching and of course politics. If only the politicians would have listened to us we could have changed the world for the better! Enjoyed so many good times together. Especially in the early years. Ed and Roy were friends since grade school and stood up in each other’s weddings. Jan and Ed were a big part of our lives. May Jan and Ed rest in peace. We will surely meet again to have more adventures. Much love, Roy and Sophie Radakovich
