John Richard Curley Jr. “Jack”, 77, of Tucker, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 at his home.
Born June 22, 1945, to the late John “Dick” and Doris (Pulsford) Curley, Jack grew up in New Jersey and studied at Rutgers University, where he served in the ARMY ROTC and earned a history degree. After college, he discovered a natural aptitude for sales that ultimately led him to Georgia in the 1980s. Until his retirement in 2009, he traveled throughout south Georgia selling and installing X-ray equipment and supplies, sharing his infectious laugh with hospital employees throughout the region.
An avid sportsman, Jack spent his early years on the pitcher’s mound. He later built lifelong bonds on the tennis court and golf course, pushing himself in friendly competition. He was a consummate host, welcoming friends and family to his home, where he could be found grilling steaks on the patio, sharing a joke and cranking up great music.
Jack is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Greene) Curley, the love of his life for 39 years; two daughters, Kim (Rik) Reynolds and Alison (Jason) Rose; four grandchildren, Megan, Dylan and Sarah Rose and Jak Reynolds; his brother, Stephen Curley; sister, Doris (Richard) Allen; and his beloved pets. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Bill” and Robert “Bob” Curley.
