Kenneth Ray Thomas of Knoxville, TN, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016. Ken was formerly from Randolph County, IN and Atlanta, GA.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl; loving mother, Nina Thompson Thomas; brothers, Rick (Kathy) of GA, James (Ashley) of NJ, Kevin (Sheba) of GA, sister, Susan Kay of MA; nephews and nieces, Wade of FL, Xan, Jo and John of NC, Zak and Asher of GA, and Georgia Kay of MA; father-in-law, Sonny Fersner (Gail) of TN; brothers-in-law, Harry Fersner (Marie) Darryl Fersner (Jill); sister-in-law, Marla Fersner Hines (Shawn), and their families; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Rodrick Thomas, in 2014, beloved Great-Grandmother, Mariana Engle; Grandmother, Elma Engle Thompson; Grandfather, Paul Thompson (Betty); Grandfather and Grandmother, Paul and Mildred Wickett Thomas; Brother-in-law, Mark Fersner; Mother-in-law and Step-dad, Billie Jean & Wayne Branch.
Per Ken's request, a small informal family gathering was held to celebrate his life. He told his wife, "you wouldn't look so sad if you knew where I was going." We can see him playing a golden baby grand piano for Jesus. Praise the Lord!

Cheryl I am so very sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. It’s been 20 years but I still think of you guys often. Take comfort in knowing that you will be with Kenny one day. Prayers for you and the rest of the family.
