Makson,
You will be sorely missed! May the good Lord hold you close forever my friend. Rest in total peace ✌️…
May your soul rest in perfect peace Makson. My condolences to the entire family.
Markso, I will surely be missing our jokes and variety of discussions we used to have on line. For some times that I didn’t hear from you, I thought probably you were seriously engaged somewhere else not knowing that you were having some health challenges leading up to your glorious departure from this sinful earth. What a terrible exit. My sincere condolences to your wife and all yours. I pray for the repose of your soul and may you rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ, AMEN
ABIOYE – Since that Monday morning (28th October ) when I received the soul depressing news of your untimely exit from this world, a pall of gloom has decended on my heart.
Much against the run of play – of my daily fervent prayers for a reunion and reconciliation among us and that the cord of filial love once knitted our hearts together, in perfect harmony would vibrate once more – only to hear the devastating message of your passing on.
Going down the memory lane, I recall the joys we shared, the happiness we knew, the hopes we held, the expectations of a great future we had as very close ‘last borns’ only for all these to crumble to the dust in an instant.
My prayer is that God, on the wings of a snow white dove, would send his comfort to our hearts in the mourning mode right now, protect and preserve each of us left behind in Jesus name. Amen.
My dear Uncle Makson,
As I sit down to write this tribute, I am overwhelmed with fond memories of our very few times together. Your love and kindness have left an indelible mark on my life.
One of my most treasured memories is being the ring bearer at your wedding. I remember feeling so proud and important, walking down the aisle with the rings. That moment has stayed with me forever, and I am grateful to have been a part of your special day.
As I reflect on the few memories we have shared, especially the few times whenever you came to Nigeria, I am filled with gratitude and love. We can’t question God. You may be gone, but your love and kindness live on in my heart, and I will cherish it forever.
Rest in peace, my dear Uncle Makson. You will be deeply missed.
With love and appreciation,
Adeyinka Esan
Makson you left so soon and suddenly. I have known you since we were children in secondary school. Who knew! Only God knows best. I will miss you. Your family will miss you terribly but God wanted you more. Stay blessed with the Lord. God bless you and replenish your soul with everything good. 🙏🏽

Adieu Makson, my very good friend for over 50 years. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
We go way back to Nana house in Hussey College Warri in 1973, and have remained friends throughout our Hussey College days, and also our university days in Nigeria.
We both moved abroad and continued our friendship initially long distance and since 1999 much more closely as family friends as we were both in the US.
I will miss him dearly.
Makson has been a good and supportive friend. He was a kind and generous soul, and was also very independent and followed his convictions even when they were not popular.
Markson’s untimely departure shocked many of us, but he will be fondly remembered, especially by those of us who attended the esteemed Hussey College . He came from humble means and distinguished himself to become a scholar, highly accomplished Engineer, and executive through hard work, sheer determination, and brilliance.
To take a page from our school days, as a junior student looking on—how can we forget those epic five-setter Table Tennis finals with Markson and Edeki as they battled for the school championship title?
These were nail-biters where Markson displayed unbelievable tenacity, as we all marveled at his comeback— a sight to behold!
This remarkable spirit and great sense of humor is evident throughout his life and career.
The last time I saw Markson was when he visited California many years back. We went out to play TT, and we had a great time reminiscing and laughing.
Markson’s story will forever continue to serve as an inspiration.
You will be missed . Rest in eternal peace, “Mesineh!”
Makson, It’s just sad to hear about your painful and untimely loss that fateful early morning through a phone call from Sister Biodun !!!. I can recall those pleasant moments we shared together in Ibadan those days and also during my brief visit and stay with you while I was in America during which you took me to a Golf course where I played a round of golf. I never knew that would be the last time we would physically see.ourselves. You were just a jolly good and very principled fellow. Surely, your memories will linger for a very long while. I commiserate with your family both linear and extended over your sad loss and pray that God grant all of us that you left behind the fortitude to bear your painful loss. Adieu Makson ! Adieu Bioye !! May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace Amen.
Dear Makson,
It is my hope and prayers that you read this note from heaven. You are gone far too soon and will be missed as a friend, school classmate and the shared excitement for the game of ping pong (table tennis).
Thanks for the mentorship, laughter and genuinely being a decent human being!
Rest in Peace, my brother🙏
I was deeply saddened to learn of your unexpected passing. Although we hadn’t met in person since your departure from HCW, I recall your enthusiastic and candid contributions during our initial discussions regarding the establishment of a formal Hussey College alumni association in America. Your forthright approach and valuable assistance, from incorporation to our first deliveries to Hussey College, Warri, were truly exemplary.
Your dedication and reliability in support of our shared mission for our alma mater mirrored your commitment to our championship table tennis team years ago.
The Hussey College Warri Alumni Association, North America, will greatly miss your insightful and candid input.
We extend our deepest condolences to your family and friends and offer prayers for your peaceful repose.
Farewell, Makson.
So Sad!
Makson May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace Amen 🙏 and may God grant your family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Farewell Brother and Great Hussian!
Uncle’Bioye it’s saddened my heart when I heard of your sudden demise
We love you but God knows better
Rest on dear brother!!
Brother Bioye,
I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of your passing. Though it has been quite some time since we last spoke, I remain so grateful to God for the opportunity we had to connect then.
I will never forget how you blessed us so generously when we welcomed our second daughter in New York. You and Aunty sent more than a dozen clothes for her, called to share in our joy, and covered us in your heartfelt prayers.
Your kindness and love left a lasting impact that can never be replaced. May your beautiful, giving spirit rest peacefully. You will be deeply missed.
Your Aburo,
Ibukun Ogunsina Nee Jeje
To My Uncle
May your soul find eternal peace,
As we wait for grief to decrease,
Kind words are not enough to say,
Such a soul will be missed each day,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,
Now and always by those you knew.

On behalf of his nephews and niece of his oldest brother and his wife.
Rest in peace.
Nothing in life happens without the knowledge and consent of God, so we shall not grieve too much but give praises to God for your good life. May God forgive all your wrongs in life and grant you a good place in heaven reserved for the angels; Amen.
Makson’s untimely passing on has been a rude shock! He was one of the steadying influences on our Alumni (Unilag Civil Engineering 79-94 set) platform. Always thoughtful and supportive.
May his precious soul rest in perfect peace; and may the Lord strengthen and comfort his wife, children and extended family.
Goodnight Makson.
May his soul rest in peace

Today, we gather to honor Makson, a dear friend and an inspiring soul. Our shared journey is filled with memories that will forever shape our lives.
During our years together at Hussey College Warri, I recall an unforgettable moment when I came second in our first term exams of the final year. Of course it was unexpected but nonetheless rewarding and it gave me the opportunity to brag. Which I did and let Makson know I beat him this time around.
Makson, in his cheerful way told me he did not prepare for the term exam because he was already focused on preparing for the final exam called WASC. His dedication to learning was remarkable, yet he never failed to bring laughter into our lives, often teasing us in ways that were both hilarious and occasionally annoying as in this case.
When it came to shared interests, our bond grew stronger through our love for Ping Pong. Makson was an elite student-athlete, an irreplaceable member of the team since his first year in high school. I made the team in our final year, and that’s when I truly witnessed his exceptional decision-making skills and mentorship. He inspired us to excel, not just on the table but also in life. Our time at the sports camp was a testament to his maturity, as he calmed our nerves and led with profound empathy.
What truly set Makson apart were his admirable qualities. Known for his kindness, humor, and remarkable creativity, he had an uncanny ability to turn every situation into an opportunity for growth. Whether life handed him lemons, Makson made lemonade and shared it with all of us.
Makson’s impact on my own early life, and surely on many others, was profound. He taught me the art of preparation, watching him balance his academic prowess with his sports commitments seamlessly was inspiring. Conversations with him about our future always left me motivated. We would often have discussions with Drs. Akinola Ayodeji and Dayo Mokuolu, about career aspirations, and his insights were invaluable.
Makson’s dream was to become an engineer, a passion he pursued with unwavering consistency. He inspired us all not just with his dreams but with his relentless pursuit of them. Though I did not follow the engineering path, his influence continues to guide my journey. I am a physician today because he inspired me to have my own dream too.
In celebrating Makson’s life, we celebrate a friendship that has forever enriched our lives, a spirit that inspired many, and a legacy that will endure in our hearts.
Please permit me to end with a quote by Elenor Roosevelt – It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. So today I will light a candle in the presence of this immense darkness because a single candle not only dispels the shadows of darkness but also ignites the hope within.
Sun ré o, òrè. Rest in the Lord Makson.
