Marjorie Davenport, more commonly known asVirginia Mullennix, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on July 24, 2017. Virginia was born on Nov 15 1930 to Mr and Mrs W. B. Atkinson. Predeceased by her 2nd husband Millard Davenport, she is survived by younger brother Bud Atkinson and by husband Virgil Mullennix. Her children William (Becky) Mullennix, Ken Mullennix and Jeff (Nicole) Mullennix, 16 grand children, numerous great grand and great great grand children. Funeral service will be held Friday July, 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm Thursday July 27, 2017 at the funeral home.

My condolences to the Mullennix family. Virginia was a fine lady and will be missed. I worked with her and Virgil and Bill at WECO and AT&T for many years.
As part of our family at Lanier Christian Church, Gainesville, Virginia and Virgil were active and involved members and have been sorely missed. Virginia was a sweet kind woman who loved the Lord and her family. Condolences to Virgil and her family. Take comfort that she is now with her Lord.
“And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:26) I cannot imagine the pain that your family is going through right now. God promises that he will soon wipe away and reverse the effects of this enemy that causes so much pain. Your precious one will be brought back to you and you will never have to experience the pain of losing her ever again. This is a promise from God! (Isaiah 33:24; Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4,5)
