Miles “M.C.” DuBois, Sr, of Decatur Georgia, died on Monday, January 8, at the age of 93. MC was born in Walterboro, South Carolina on July 5, 1924, and served in the Navy during WWII. After retiring from the United States Postal Service, M.C. worked at his son’s landscaping business, DuBois Landscaping. M.C. is preceded in death by his wife, Doris B. DuBois, his son, Miles C. DuBois, Jr., his grandson, Steven Lee DuBois, and granddaughter, Dawn Jones. He is survived by a sister, Katherine Tilson, a daughter, Mary Hubbard (Floyd) of Flovilla, Georgia, a son Rodney DuBois (Courtney) of Atlanta, Georgia, and a son Tommy DuBois (Wendy) of Stafford, Virginia, six grandchildren, Jeri Daniel, Glen Weeks, Floyd Hubbard, Jr., Kayla DuBois, Erica DuBois, and Kelsey DuBois, and 12 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service in memory of M.C. will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at the Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1040 Main St, Stone Mountain, Georgia, with Rev. J. Brent Ross presiding. Friends are welcome for visitation before the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment at Melwood Cemetery will follow the service.

  1. “Pops” was my best friend for 3 years. He was like a Dad to me. I love him dearly. Although my heart is broken, I know he’s waiting on Doris’s fried chicken and gone fishing with Miles. I’ll always think of you. I’ll always have you in my heart. I love you and miss your smile. My love and condolences to the family.

  6. Uncle MC was loved by his family and will be missed. He was a man of great character who served and loved everyone. He will be remembered for his laugh and appreciation for others. May God by with all his family at this time celebrating his life and the wonderful memories he has left us with.

  9. Pops was such a kind and funny guy! He always had a smile for everyone, he liked to tease!!!! He will be greatly missed but I know he’s with the Lord, his wife and Miles, RIP pop’s, we love you. Prayer for peace for the family.
