Olusola Olajumoke Adepeju Shobayo, Snellville, Georgia died on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Eastside Medical Center at the age of 49 years. She was preceded in death by her father Prince Adeola Omodara.

Sola as she was fondly called by family and friends was born to the family of Prince Adeola and Gladys Omodara on the 22nd of February, 1971. Sola started her education at Sacred Heart Convent School, Ring Road, Ibadan in 1973 and later transferred to Omolere Nursery and Primary School, Akure due to the creation of new states in Nigeria. She proceeded and completed her High School education at St Louis Girls’ School, Akure. She attended College of Education, Ikere for her National Certificate of Education, after which she relocated to the United States of America in search of better opportunities. Sola tried her hands at different vocations, and eventually bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She secured a federal government job in Nevada, and spent her time between Atlanta and Nevada, while working on a Master’s degree.

It was in Atlanta, Georgia that she met and got married to her husband, Mr. Gbadebo Shobayo and the marriage was blessed with three lovely children; Amos, Gladys, and Joel. Sola was a woman of many parts, a social butterfly, and a rallying point. She was a God- fearing woman, who loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved music and singing, always smiling, no matter what she was going through.

Sola is survived by her husband, three children, an aged mother, brothers, sisters, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a retinue of friends. She will be greatly missed, but we know that she is resting in the bosom of her Lord, Jesus Christ.

A Celebration of Sola’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at the Wages & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. She will be laid to rest at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E Ponce de Leon Avenue, Stone Mountain, GA., 30083, immediately after the service.

Cousin, you ran a great race and we that you left behind are holding on to this. God knows why He has called you home now and we can’t question him.     Olusola Shobayo Nee Omodara, your death was a big surprise, great grief but you won the battle over this sinful world.

    Your role as wife to your husband, mother to your great children, sister the entire family and friends to everyone will be greatly missed.   17. CandleImageI am still in denial and shock at the departure of our dear sister and friend. She was my husband’s childhood friend of over 30yrs+.

    Never met her in person, but her closeness to my hubby, drew us together. We spoke severally pn phone. Such a likeable and amiable person. My husband was her confidant, spiritual father and a shoulder to lean on. They would talk several hours and joke About their childhood. Severally l would join in to pray with them interceeding on various challenges.

    Hmmmmmmmmmnnn.

    Who are we to question God. He giveth and taketh at will.

    Rest in the bossom of Christ.

When I look at all the fun we have had together your pictures and videos, it saddens me to know you are no more. You were such a sweet sister full of life and fun to be around. I just loved your personality.
    I remember how we use to talk, dance during and after church and just worship and praise God freely. How we use to goof around during choir practise. Your sweet playful self. How we would take pictures after church and sometimes you would crash into my pictures.
    You were a prayer warrior, one who loved God and our great evangelist. You took the job with grace and did it selflessly. You were always full of smiles and never a dull moment with you. So many memories of you sis Sola cause I have known you in church for probably 6 years or so.
    You were a strong, hard working woman and a dedicated mother. I pray the good Lord grant your beautiful children all that they need to fill this bog vaccum you have left behind. I also pray for the entire family that the good Lord grant them all the strength they need to carry on.
