Eddie Ray Owens, age 62, of Buford, GA passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012. He survived by his wife, Mildred Owens; son, Jason Samples & wife, Kellie; brother, Barry Owens; sisters: Diane Tate & husband, James; Melanie Beach & husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Noah & Landen Samples. Eddie served with the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department for 23 years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550.   8. Mildred and family , my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I have some great memories working with Eddie and remember some of the good times we had working warrants and civil together.

  9. I am so sorry I was unable to attend Eddie’s funeral due to being sick. Eddie was always nice to everyone in school. We graduated together in 1968. I’m thinking of you and your family. May God help you to get through this loss.
