Born in:
Chamblee, Georgia
Resided in:
Winder, Georgia
For those who were lucky enough to know him, it is with a heavy heart that we share that Rick Adams passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. He will be remembered for his wit and humor, his penchant for made up phrases and sayings, and his deep roots in Atlanta that gave him a rich history of the families and landmarks around town. Rick was a Ranger in the United States Army and voluntarily served three tours in Vietnam, service he was proud of but reluctant to talk about, so not everyone knew what he gave for this country. He loved Southern food, rich home cooking, and being helpful to his family even in the smallest of ways. He loved to tinker and fix things, and always had an active mind. We will miss his pecan pies, his deadpan jokes, and his stories about growing up in Tucker. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Adams, his son, Michael Adams, and his brothers Phil and Tim Adams. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Disabled Veterans Charitable Service Trust.
A service is planned at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville at 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 at 2pm on Sunday, October 2 for anyone wishing to pay their respects and share their favorite memories of Rick.
