Ronnie Samples, 64 of Lilburn passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011. Ronnie is survived by his daughter Cindi Samples Reider and her husband Randy; sons, Shane Samples and Tom Jones; Brother Tommy Samples and sister Charlotte Rary. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the Service.   1. I went to East Atlanta High School with Ronnie and loved his sense of humor and easy going nature. Ronnie, you had the cutest smile ever! My sympathy to Ronnie’s family.

  3. Ronnie was a neighbor and childhood friend who I remember as always smiling and always in high spirits.

    We had many great times and high adventures together which I will always remember. I know he will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

  4. Shared many memorable experiences, some firsts for both. My condolences for the the family, especially Tommy and Charlotte. Went by the house everyday I attended school since the 6th grade. May he rest in peace and be welcomed into the loving arms of Christ.

  5. Ronnie & I were high school buddies and were in the Army together. Ft. Benning, Ga., Ft. Gordon, Ga., Military Police Training, Ft. Bragg, N.C. The day MLK was shot, April 1968, we were deployed to Washington, D.C., that night. We flew in on a C130, two East Atlanta Boys not knowing what was ahead of us. We patrolled the city together in a jeep for several days as Martial Law was in effect. Spent that Easter Sunday together bivouacked on Potomac Point Golf Course at Haynes Point, next to the Jefferson Memorial. We were on riot control duty that Spring & Summer in Washington. Ronnie served his country with honor. ‘Only the good die young’….RIP Ole Friend

  6. I went to EAHS with Ronnie, Tommy, & Charlotte. I thought so much of all three. Have alot of fond memories & want to express my sympathy for Ronnie’s family at this time. So sorry for the loss of a brother, father, & grandfather, & friend of many. Ronnie’s family is in my thoughts & prayers at this time of loss & grief. God Bless ~ Sue West Wall

  7. Ronnie always made me laugh. We had some fun times at EAH and I will always remember him with that great smile. The last time I saw him was at one of the EAH BBQs. He was so proud of his children and couldn’t say enough about them. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and especially for Tommy and Charlotte.
